(1) If I own a business in Thailand, albeit 49% on paper, am I allowed to apply for a VISA, other than a TR, not to work but to stay in Thailand ?

(1) I suppose I will have to pay income tax for whatever "dividends" from the business. Can that be considered "income" for the purpose of applying for Visa or the 40K-requirement for marriage Visa ?

yes, you can get non-b single entry without any problem(almost)

as you don't have a work permit, you'll only have to pay the balance sheet each year around 10k bath.

If applying in your home country you'll have a good chance of obtaining a 1 year multiple entry non immi-o.

This would allow you unlimited entries into Thailand for a year, with each entry having a maximum stay of 90 days.

Balance sheet ? If it's just a business partnership, neither Ltd nor LLP, am I correct to say I only pay according to whatever income received ?
