Adsl Filters For Multiple Phone Jacks.

Featured Replies

Could someone please help with the Thai name for an ADSL filter to connect multiple phone lines in a house. One phone, connected to the splitter provided with the router is fine, but other phone jacks in the house are full of static.

With my limited Thai, I have conveyed the problem to the phone company and to other phone shops. They say they don't have any. I don't believe them.

The name written in Thai would be of great help to me if someone can provide it.

Find any shop that sells routers.

PanTip Fortune Town & Seri all have em.

Normally they sell the little buggers at around 100 baht.

Thanks dotcom.

I'm sure they must have them but what do they call them?

good question. Normally they are in a glass case with the LAN hardware. I call it filter or choke. I guess the technical term is "Splitter".

Take your old one as a sample.

You can show them this. It's also called a Pots splitter or microfilter.

The above do not look right for home use - are they for digital phones by chance? Does not look like normal phone output jack in photo.

It is for normal phone usage. My mistake was posting a picture of a BT (641a/641a UK style) phone jack. Many different styles for ADSL splitters. The same as shown in my photo but with a RJ style wall jack instead of BT are also available. I suspect your photo will be more readily recognized in Thailand though.

I found what I needed at Tuk.com Sriracha. 50 Baht each.

I didn't need a splitter (although a splitter would have done the job). I only needed filters to take the ADSL signal out of my extra phones around the house.

Thanks for all the replies I received.
