I've got two computers connected to the same internet broadband line the second computer keeps loosing the connection and comes up with conflicting ip address.

Anyone got an idea how I can fix this.

Any help much appreciated.

You should give each computer it's own IP.

Which windows you use?

Try:

Click "Start" -> "Run..." Type in 'cmd' (without quotes) and hit Enter.

Then type these in hitting enter after each command:

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

You can also type into google something like: "conflicting ip address on two computers", there are a lot of people who have had similar issues.

Most probably one of the two computers has a fixed IP address set, while the other is set to receive IP address from the router's DHCP server.

Either set both to DHCP, or give both a fixed (but different) Ip address.

Almost all quick install guides which come with routers have a little guide on how to do this in different versions of windows!
