Bangkok residents less interest in health programmes

BANGKOK, Nov 1 (TNA) – The government has launched a campaign to promote health programmes in Thailand' capital city, after surveys showed that Bangkok’s residents were less interest in taking care of their health than Thais living in provincial areas.

An exhibition, “Health Ministry meets Bangkok residents” was opened at a park in the heart of Bangkok early this week to help increase awareness among the city’s dwellers of the need to take better care of their health.

The campaign includes exercise programmes and exhibitions.

The government health campaign is urging Thais to exercise regularly, at least three sessions of thirty minutes a week, and to eating only clean and nutritious food to help stay healthy, the health minister, Sudarat Keyuraphand told TNA.

This is the second year the government has run the programme to promote good health in Bangkok.

The residents of the metropolis are less interested in health and futness programmes because their busy lives leave them with little time to do exercises, according to government officials.

The Public Health Ministry also plans to organise a synchronised mass exercise on 20 November to mark His Majesty the King’s Birthday.(TNA)-E112

Of course there is a flaw in the government's statement since we Thais do a lot of 'sexercise'

In fact it's all the fatty ministers themselves that are unhealthy, even Thaksin himself has recently admitted to being impotent. How pathetic .... :o
