Limit Of 90 Days Stay Within Six Months -

Featured Replies

There seems to be a widespread Misconception that the

90 day stay limit within 6 Months

applies to Visa Entries - it does NOT

It applies only to Visa Exempt Entry Stamps.

In view of the number of recent posts

demonstrating the above mentioned misunderstanding ...

would it be worth PINNING this information at the Top of this section?

Bill

It is.

A it seams like you have understood the rules, I ask you, because I am of them who are very confused.

I would like to stay in Thailand for 6 months. If I apply for a tourist visa befor entering Thailand, I can get 60 days, and 30 days more from Thailand. If I then go and do a Visa Run. I will then only get a 30 days visa. How long can I do this before they say stop?

Can I go do a visarun 3 times?

Yes,possible, but it would help if you could supply your Nationality.

Below is the link to the MFA webside, Nationals of these countries can stay up to 90days in a Sixmonth period, but each entry is limited to 30days.

Arrive with a Tourist Visa, extent 30days and do 3x30day VisaRuns.

As Visarunner said . Or get another 60 day Visa from an embassy. Go to Vientienne Laos and you can get a double entry.

Your Profile says you are in Norway

So if you hold a Norwegian Passport ....

You could try to get a Double Entry Tourist Visa in Norway.

Just to correct what you wrote ...

If you did a visa run you will get a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp.

There is no limit on the number of these stamps

The Limit is that you can stay only 90 days on these stamps in 6 months.

(For Example some visiotrs come for numerous week-ends for Golf )

Although there are reports on this Forum that this restriction is not now being strictly applied.
