Traffic Police Meeting discusses dangerous intersections and improvements to road signs.

On Thursday Morning at Pattaya City Hall, Khun Sanit, the Chairman of the Police and Rescue Liaison Committee, chaired a meeting attended by Traffic Police from Pattaya and Banglamung to discuss a number of issues regarding traffic safety and control.

The first points discussed related to dangerous intersections located around Pattaya. Two were identified in front of the Carrefour Shopping Center and in front of the Cottage Pub on Pattaya Third Road. The Traffic Police mentioned that at both locations traffic lights would often stop working.

The Traffic Police would like City Hall to investigate both junctions as a matter of urgency. Discussions also took place regarding the lack of road signs especially at major road junctions around Pattaya City. The Traffic Police would like the City to invest in road signs warning motorists that they are approaching junctions and where they can travel to when they leave the junction. Finally Traffic Police would like red and white lines painted on the curbs on every corner of every road around Pattaya.

Every point discussed in the meeting will now be discussed at the next Pattaya City Council Meeting later this month.
