Adoption over here is a crazy situation from what I have seen, some respectable wealthy people I know that have tried to adopt just keep hitting a brick wall, yet I have seen others that are in a far less privileged position, infact one that I know well has actually served time in a UK prison but adopted no problem,

Seems to me the whole adoption procedure stink's of corruption.

I would like to hear from the foreigners who has adopted while living in Thailand, have You all just been waiting in a Child adoption center's waiting list (that is endless right now, You need to wait years!), or has anyone tried to adopt from some small orphanies that are not govermental?

I know that all the paper work has to be done in Child adoption center, but are people allowed to look for a child by themselves?

It should be legally allowed but I'm afraid Child adoption center would make it difficult.
