Non-b 1year In Kuala Lumpur - I Did It!

Featured Replies

Bumping this back up to the top. Currently on a 90 Day non-immigrant b (Single Entry) and will be getting my work permit this week. Where in the region is the best place to get a Multiple entry B?

Kuala Lumpur is the best place, if you have a 1 year work permit.

You can't get an extension of stay for 1 year?

Would like to be able to take trips outside of Thailand w/o having to take off of work & wait in line at an immigration office for a reentry stamp. My understanding is that you don't have to give exact dates and places with the multiple entry visa like you do for re-entry stamps.

You don't for re-entry either, you can put anything in the blanks. And you do not have to do every time as they have a multi entry available for 3,800 baht which will last the full time as your extension of stay.

Thanks for the info lopburi3 - I assume I can get this at the "one-stop" office where I get the work permit? This is referred to as a visa extension with multiple re-entry permit?

You get at the same office you obtain the extension of stay. Once you have that one year extension stamp you can apply for the re-entry permit. Those that plan to travel often do both the same day.

It is called a one year extension of stay (for whatever reason it is issued) and a multi re-entry permit.
