Ive just spotted a wonderful old motorcycle which is for sale , it has not been on the roads for many years, and would make a great restoration project the price is right ( 3,000 Baht ) it has a number plate , but no registration book. does any one know if its possible some way to register it again in my name...?

Perhaps if you could track down the last owner and get him to obtain a police report that the registration book was lost, you could get a replacement book. Do you know whether the plate acutally belonged to the bike?

BTW, what kind of bike is it?

If you get as far as registration, the registration fee for all the years of non-use will be charged.

If it has not been on the raods for ten years, then 10 years back fees will be charged and there will be no bargaining.

If you feel the bike is worth it, then do the leg work as indicated above,

but do not buy until you have the log book.

You could be handling stolen goods!!!!
