astral
These sums are for extending Non O visas based on marriage. They have no relationship to application for residence.

astral
In the right investment 10M will get you a one year visa. That is only one small step on the way to residency, but it is a start.
Sulaphat
A number of years ago immigration wanted to see baht 200,000 minimum in a Thai bank account when an application for permanent residency was submitted. It has probably gone up in the meantime. The official fees certainly have. I am sure that there is also a minimum income requirement as well, I seem to recall baht 60k per month being mentioned at the time, but I could be wrong. I was basically told that the more income the better the chance of approval.
