The C-180 model of about 12 years of age is pretty popular in BKK.

I've heard about the reliability of the old E-Class Masterpiece model. What about C-180? A problematic car ? The interior even though 10 years ago still carries a modern appeal.

The C Class was the replacement for the 190, and substantial compromises were made on the build quality. If you are looking for an older mid-size Benz I would suggest a W124 model, 220E or an older 230E. Much better cars. The C Class was the start of the decline of MB.

I don't think I can argue with you on that. I've been told the same stuff elsewhere that the W124 is the best of the best, a car made to last.

The C180 is more youthful looking with a beautiful interior.

Any comparisons between the 190E and 230E as per build quality and reliability?

When we returned to the uk 4 years ago i bought a 3 year old one, it was noisy.slow and build quality was awful,.mercedes are not what they used to be at all,( they even let korean ssangyong badge their van mercedes ) ,and then theres the price in thailand versus a toyota camry for instance ( a much better car in my opinion ) a 10 year old c class in the uk is about 90.000 baht maximum, i just couldnt pay the stupid prices these over rated cars make in thailand, i just couldnt,. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mercedes-C-Class-C22...p3286.m14.l1318

Hi,

Among the current Benz models which ones do you think will last longer and will still be acceptable to drive after 10 years ?

Would like to buy one but have to choose it well as I don't plan to change it too often when thinking about the price here !

Thanks.
