Bag Snatch Victim Injured.

In the early hours of Saturday morning police from Soi 9 station as well as Sawang Boriboon rescue volunteers attended the scene of an accident and assault on Third Road, just past the intersection with South Pattaya Road. A 43-year-old Thai lady, Khun Sarika, had been injured and required hospitalization following a bag snatch.

The injured lady had turned into Third Road when she was followed by two Thai men on a motorbike, which she was able to describe later as a blue-coloured Honda Wave. The passenger on the bike kicked out at Khun Sarika and she lost control of her vehicle, crashing to the ground.

The man who assaulted her grabbed her handbag and the pair of thieves raced off into the night, leaving Khun Sarika lying in the road.

Khun Sarika is now in Bangkok Pattaya hospital where she is recovering from her injuries. Police have little information on the thieves but know they will strike again.

It's terrible enough being mugged.

However these scum target victims on moving motorcycles. Serious injury is a probable result for even the most compliant of victims. Anyone who has come off a moving motorcycle will attest to that. It would appear this callous crime is becoming more popular.

No mercy for these a-holes. This is by no means a run of the mill street robbery.

Stay off the streets of Pattaya in the small hours unless you're going mob-handed.
