Canadian In Thailand. Who/where Can I Buy A 2 Month Tourist Visa.

Featured Replies

I'm a 24 year old canadian. I've been in thailand for just over 6 months now. 2x 2 month tourist visa's each with paid extensions from Thai Immigration on Suanplu in Sathorn. I've just re-entered on a 30 day tourist visa on arrival.

I would like buy another 2 month tourist visa somewhere, so that when I return after my visa run around the 8th of August, that I won't have to leave for another 60 days.

I will be leaving to Laos when my 30 days expires. Can I purchase a 2 month tourist visa from there?

Can I get one in Thailand, so when I re-enter it will be used?

Can I get one from another country?

Any help would be appreciated.

You must get it outside of the country, such as Vientiane, Laos. Yes, you can.

Yes. Vientienne is the place to go. Can even get a double entry if you wish.

Don't forget you can extend a 60 day Tourist Visa at Immigration in Thailand for another 30 days.

Much appreciated guys. My plan was to try Vientiane for a visa. Any idea how long it takes? I'll arrive there first, if it takes more than a day, then travel around and come back to pick up my visa before I leave.

and I know about the 30 day extension, I've already used that twice. No hassles, just needed to pay. In and out of immigration office in under 10 minutes both times.

You submit your visa application on day one, collect your visa + passport on day two.
