You've got a new baby on the way, and are still planning on coming to LOS in July ?

(glad I won't be sitting next to you on the plane !) :D

It hasn't RAINed here all day ! As I am going out soon, I expect a downpour any minute now though :D

RAINing here in Pattaya right now. Little bit of thunder earlier on, then another short deluge. Glad it held off until after I got back from visiting certain establishments :o

Two couples dared to brave the jungle like gardens of the Maktub´ar last night. They sat with us until the rains stopped, and then they stayed a bit longer. Two nights in a row and it looks like tonight it will rain again. I guess the season to be jolly damp is rearing it´s head.

I like this season. It allows one to reflect - , now, where´s my beer?

The day began with heavy and morbid rains. But then the sun dared show it's bright little face for a few minutes. Although to my chagrin the ominous clouds quickly returned and no sooner did the showers resume. Quite heavily, in fact, but sporadically. Within 40 minutes it all turned to a fine drizzle which persisted for maybe about 15 minutes before it, too, ceased. Out peeked the warm and golden sun once more to return to me my smile and cheer. To my dismay it was, alas, all too short lived. The cloud cover, thick and gloomy, and in heavy waves, rolled back across the sky to make it seem as though morning's twilight would never lift. The next half hour saw more precipitation in the form of misted, depressing rain. Then a return to an overcast, grey, homogenous sky. Just when I thought for sure the sky had emptied it's bladder for the day it pissed down once more in thick, angular streams.

The afternoon was more of the same. And then a stretch of about 15 minutes of sunshine from approximately 1:23 to 1:38. But the barometer indicated that these welcomed rays of hope would only be swallowed once again by a sky determined to dampen the spirits and the flesh. Just as I was contemplating a return to bed to weather out the weather along comes Mr. Sunshine to brighten my day. With a smile on my face to match the smile in the sky I thought I just might get something done today after all. Alas, fate would not have it as it was determined to do grief to my uplifted heart. My eyes shed a little rain themselves.

Evening twilight came early, just as the twilight of the morn had lingered longer than usual. The pitter-patter on the windowsills was to be my only sad music for the day. Where was my cheery friend of the heavens? Why had it forsaken me this long and dreary day of my life? As I turned from the picture window to retrieve my anti-depressants from the medicine cabinet I momentarily froze in my tracks. What was this that my eyes beheld? Yes, indeed, it was my shadow which darkened the wall. My heart jumped as I quickly spun around to glimpse a glorious redish orb sinking low on the horizon. So brilliant and beautiful was it that my cheeks were wetted with the tears of my immense joy and gratefulness. Involuntarily I dropped to me knees, my chest heaved with the release of the day's sadness. How wonderful is life after all, I thought. :o
