Dear Folks, I have just reformatted my PC and everything work fine except the beeping sound the keep coming every time I clicked, because of this it make me feel very irritating and I can’t recall how to disable it. Your advice in disabling the beeping device will be appreciated.

Assumptions IE is the source of the 'click', you don't have customised sounds, and you're using XP.

Start -> Control Panel ->Sounds & Audio Devices -> [sounds] tab scroll down to Navigating {click to toggle} then OK, and apply.

If it's not the navigation click that A_Traveller mentioned, it's probably another windows 'feature'. If there's no sound assigned to "Default Beep" in the Sounds Scheme (Sounds and Audio Devices in control panel), then the PC speaker will beep instead. Kind of ridiculous since that means the user specifically requested no sound :o

An easy way to stop this is with TweakUI from MS. Go to the 'General' section and it's the very first option. Just uncheck 'Beep on errors'.
