funfun
right here we go, right, (british) man named mr a miss's his flight, and runs out of visa exempt entrys on that day so becomes an overstay add that to the fact his passport is absolutly full and no space to get a stamp or visa etc he needs a new passport and can get one from bangkok that will take approx 10 days My advice to him is go bkk apply passport, wait 10 days, go to laos pay maybe 10/12 days overstay then on in to vientine and get a visa. so what im asking is, is this his best option? or is there a way he could maybe report to an imigration with maybe a reciept from british embassy confirming his application for new passport and maybe they can so put his overstay on hold? any ideas or suggestion's will be of help Many thanks chris
Mario2008
He is on overstay at his own fault. He will just have to pay for the 10 or 11 days.

Are you sure Mr A cannot have two more, relatively small, stamps in some odd corners of his passport? If so, why not go to Malaysia and renew his passport at the British Embassy in KL? One Thai traingular exit stamp (5cm x 2cm) and one small (4cm x 3.5cm) Malaysian entry stamp and he's there. Malaysia has a 90 day visa exempt entry for British Citizens. Surely this is a more sensible option.
bjhabal
I agree, Malaysia is much better option, with almost similar cost and easier communication, just try to avoid the overstay at this stage, as it will be posted on the new passport. Good luck, Bishop
