Learn Thai Language Podcast

Featured Replies

Maybe everyone here already is aware of this, but there is a nice little series of podcasts available from iTunes on learning to speak Thai. It is called appropriately "Learn Thai Podcast." It is a free stripped down version of a commercial learn Thai website. There are currently about 15 or so 3-4 minute learning segments. It's all pretty basic, but what is really useful are the podcasts dealing with Thai simple and complex vowels and consonants and their pronunciation. These are quite useful, and I currently set them to play in a continuous loop while I do other work so that hopefully, I will just learn them by absorption/hearing them repeated. I also sometimes leave in playing during the nite when I am sleeping. I heard or read somewhere that your mind is actually "awake" and able to absorb information even when the body is asleep. There are both audio and video versions of the podcasts available.
