What happened to the Decathlon store at Lotus north Pattaya? Went up the escalator for my twice a year sports shopping to find empty space where the Decathlon store used to be. I know there is a new one out on Sukhumvit .Did they relocate? -

Recent trip to UK with Qatar air- A very sad, heartbreaking visit.
Let me set the record straight. Firstly, being a British taxpayer is not dependent on my current place of residence. I’ve contributed to the UK system for many years, and I still do. That gives me every right to voice my opinions about the state of the country — especially when they come from direct observation and personal experience. Secondly, my comments were not an “attack” on people who use food banks. I described what I saw with my own eyes and what was shared with me by someone who lives and works in the UK. If you disagree with that perspective, you are entitled to your view — but it doesn’t make mine invalid or dishonest. To suggest I was broadly labelling all food bank users as drug users is disingenuous. I never said or implied that. I acknowledged a very real concern — that in some cases, people may exploit a system meant to help the vulnerable. That doesn’t deny the existence of real, hardworking people who rely on food banks. In fact, I said it was tragic that this is necessary in a developed country like the UK. Also, drawing comparisons with slums in Thailand to somehow invalidate my observations is both irrelevant and a deflection. Every country has its challenges — but I was commenting on the decline in living standards in the UK, which is a legitimate concern shared by many, including those who still live there. You’re free to disagree with my views. But misrepresenting them to make a point weakens your own argument. If we want to have a genuine discussion about the problems the UK faces, let’s do so honestly, without twisting words or making personal attacks, especially in regard to my son.
