Sri Lankan Tourist hurt in road accident on Pattaya Second Road.

In the early hours of Friday, Police were called to the scene of a road accident in front of Soi 6 off Pattaya Second Road. The crash involved a motorbike and a pedestrian. Two people were injured; the driver of the motorbike, Khun Somshai aged 45 and the pedestrian, Mr. Kapila Ranhoti aged 40 from Sri Lanka.

Although injured, Mr. Ranhoti was able to explain to Police that he was in the process of crossing Pattaya Second Road when two motorbikes approached at a high rate of speed. One of the bikes hit Mr. Ranhoti, the other avoided a collision and fled from the scene of the accident before authorities arrived.

Looks like Somchai had had one too many glasses of lao dong ya leading him to mistime his khaek-baiting motorcycle manouevre.

I hope he rots in the slammer for a while. The last thing Pattaya needs is more of these "death on 2 wheels" nuisances.
