Tatoo Shop

For a birthday present, I'm looking for a tatoo shop. As someone said, it's a gift for life so hygiene and quality of the execution are our priorities.

We are also looking for someone who should be able to work on a concept, we give him the general idea but he has to come up with the final drawing

I know this topic has already been discussed before, I checked, but I also found out that some shops that had very good reviews three years ago, are now doing a very poor job. So I will appreciated comments from people who had their tatoo done within the last three to six month.

Shop should be in Bangkok.

If you have someone to translate for you go to see Nui at Diamond Tattoo. He is in the Trendy Mall part of Seacon Square. He only does originals. You give him some idea and he will do a drawing. If you like it he signs it and then its never repeated. I have had my stomach done and a three quarter sleeve. The work is all done free hand and the work is immaculate. Check his website I think it is tattoodiamond or something similar I am on his gallery or check this forum for pictures of my stomach. His number is 0863916199. He is not cheap but a tattoo is for life and the quality remains after the price is forgotten.

Thank you for the information, but everytime I try to access their website (tattoodiamond_dot_com) I get an error message. I will try to have a look to their shop, it's not that far.

I've also heard of Jimmy Wong as the "best" in thailand, but they say he's not working anymore and the business is now handle by his daughter. Is she as good a her father? And did she does the tatoo by herself or do they employ people and just manage the "brand" ?

By the way, I just had an argument with a friend who say a tatoo artist is called a "tatooist", have you ever heard of this word ?
