Hi Folks,

I am an Indian National and my wife is a Thai National.I will shortly be getting a work permit to work in Thailand and also I will be extending my visa based on Thai wife earning more than 40000 baht/month.

We are planning to adopt a kid (my relative's kid) whose life seems to be getting torn apart after her parents divorce and a life threatening accident to her mother.

The kid is around 12 years old.

Will the kid automatically qualify as a Thai citizen based on the adopted mother's nationality?

Please let me know if you'll have any information on this.
