grimreaper
I am a little confused regarding the new visa fees. I am a Brit currently living in the US. I retire next year and planning to retire to Thailand. Are the new visa fees (ie:191000baht) payable every year on renewal or is this a one time fee? dr_Pat_Pong
It is only a one time fee....thank God.
george
Please note that you must first have 3 years extensions (fee 1,900 Baht/year) before you can apply for residency (on time fee 191,000 Baht).

easymoney
I too have been told at immigration in Bkk that there is a grandfather clause in this new visa scheme. I am still not 100% sold this is true but wife back next week from US and she has an uncle there that's been 100% on when sober so she will check. I will advise.
