Dormant Accounts (internet Banking?)

Featured Replies

Just a thought after reading a thread on dormant accounts:

Do any of the Thai mainstream banks offer an internet banking facility?

Essentially, could this be an effective loophole if you're worried about losing funds that are in a dormant account. i.e. Set up 2 accounts and transfer bits and pieces from time to time to keep the account 'live'. :o

Yes, I think most do here, I have a Siam Commercial Bank Internet account.

Can you do easy transfers between foreign accounts,in my case uk?I have two uk based internet accounts, had not thought about having a thai one,i'm with k-bank

No, To transfer money OUT of Thailand to the UK, I had to go to my branch even though there is the facility on the Internet Banking, when I tried it kept saying not enough funds...which was not true. It may be due to how much money and for what reason, you need to transfer out. Money coming in, no problem I guess.
