simon43
I'm doing a marketing campaign which targets hotels and guesthouses in Thailand. Does anyone know where I can obtain/buy a comprehensive database mailing list of Thai hotels and guesthouses? I guess TAT has such a list (??), but I'm sure they won't provide it to me All the hard-copy hotel directories that I have sen are very incomplete. Basically, the more hotels on my database the better - so any suggestions how to maximise this are most welcome! Simon

Wombat6
All the information that you require is on the Internet so if you don't want to do it yourself, hire someone to compile a list!!

smileplur
I have a pretty comprehensive list that was obtained through an affiliate program I am with. Many of them have such lists. Sign up and download.

AmeriThai
Years ago the TAT used to provide regional booklets listing accommodations in those regions. I don't know if they still provide them or not. The listings covered 5-star hotels to budget classed guesthouses. However, they did not list EVERY hotel, and prices and general information were usually out-of-date. Sometimes places were shown listed that no longer existed. Also, I think most, if not all, locations were members of sorts with the TAT. You might try looking at this website. Near the bottom of the page you'll see "Thailand Accommodations by Destination". Click on a city or area listed. For example, they list 128 places for Bangkok. You can sort accommodations by "Most Popular", "Lowest Price", etc., and can click on the hotel for a bit more info or to send a message to the hotel. In my opinion, these listings are only guides to selected hotels, and I'm sure don't list every hotel. I don't know if the Miami Hotel off Sukhumvit Road is still standing or not, but if it is, it's not listed. Other accommodations located on Soi 8 don't seem to be listed either. Rather than reinvent the wheel, I'd suggest using the links others have provided here, and do some web searches for accommodations in certain areas. In the past, I've found a few unlisted places from friends. Also, you should find various Thailand-related forums, including TV, with posts about various hotels, guesthouses, etc., as well as from some of the popular travel guides. But as you noted, I think you'll find most, if not all, hard copy or website listings are indeed "incomplete". http://amazingthailand.tourismthailand.org/

simon43
Of course the major travel websites list many Thai hotels. Bu that's not I want. I don't want to reinvent the wheel by compiling my own list (unless absolutely necessary). I'd rather use a list-broker service. anyway, I've PMed the guy who is offering a database of hotels and I'll see what he has to say. smileplur
I told you that affiliate programs like Agoda will have an entire list available for download. I have one or two around somewhere.
simon43
My hotel is already an affiliate with Agoda, Wotif, ratestoGo etc. I'm pretty sure that Agoda will not give me a database of Thai hotels (postal address, email address, general manager's name etc) that I can go and market to directly . a simple list of Thai hotels is not what I'm after. No hotel email address no details of GM No idea when this data was last updated What I'm after is to purchase a list compiled by a list broker or similar, ie - with the relevant data and in a suitable format for mailshots.
