Countries Targeted by Trump’s Tariffs May Strike Back at U.S. Services
BRICS will be happy to buy and sell to a wide variety of countries who may no longer want to trade with the usa either because of the tariffs or because they see the current usa regime threatning to annex or invade soverign countries like canada, panama, greenland for starters. There is much more to trade than trading goods. There are a wide range of political issues tied into it. Countries who do a lot of trade also have a lot of meetings and interaction with high level officials from both countries involved. The more these officials meet and get to know each other the more likely it is that many other issues will be brought up. These meetings can and do result in many other areas such as security, investments , cultural exchanges, and a wide range of interwoven issues. Diplomacy has been around for centuries for good reason. There are a lot of countries who can fill a lot of orders if the usa consumers no longer wants to pay the tariff and buy the goods. What we are already seeing is new alliances being formed between such countries as Japan, South Korea and China. It would be foolish to think that trade alliances will not likely lead to alliances in other areas and some of these new alliances will not be favorable to the USA. Meantime enjoy watching retirement portfolios crash while potus continues to piss off most long term allies and jeopardize world economies, security agreements, intelligence sharing, and so much more. -
