Non-imm O In Tokyo

Featured Replies

Has anyone received a Multiple Entry Non Imm type O from the Thai Embassy in Tokyo in the last 6 months?

I have read the threads from some time ago but can find nothing recent. I am Canadian and want to know if they are processing visas for non Japanese at the embassy.

Thanks

Very helpful reply indeed !

The last time I enquired, they would only process visas for residents (holders of alien registration cards) for all but the single entry tourist visas.

the reply is as interesting as the question...

isn't normal to call the embassy/consulate and explain your case to get the right answer instead of asking on a forum if they issue visa to non-residents?

Very normal indeed but we all know that the official information from the embassies/consulates/immigration offices are not always (to put it mildly) accurate.

Recent real life experiences are what this forum is about and that is what the OP was looking for.

BTW the OP said non Japanese he did not say non-residents, not quite the same thing.

cheers

It's OK, but do we know if the OP is a non-resident? I mean, without Japanese Alien ID card.

If that was said somewhere, I have missed it.

The Thai Embassy in Japan, and its consular network there, is very much set to suit themseves. Different rules are the order of the day.
