Cabinet approves budget for disaster and drought prevention

The Cabinet approves a budget of 760 million baht for Military Development Office to assist farmers suffering from drought.

Government Deputy Spokesman Supharat Nakbunnam (ศุภรัตน์ นาคบุญนำ) announces that the Cabinet meeting has acknowledged information from the Ministry of Public Health concerning the public health minister’s trip to the three Southern border provinces to meet with religious leaders.

The minister told the religious leaders that the ministry would promote health of people during Ramadan and assist Muslims traveling to Makkah attend Hajj.

The Secretariat of the Cabinet approved a budget of 760 million baht to resolve the problem of flooding and drought for farmers. The budget will be spent by the Military Development Office to implement projects including canal dredging.
