I agree with you on that point. The governments of the U.S., U.K. and many other countries could have saved the lives of tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, by simply granting visas to European Jews. That didn't happen because most governments of the time were antisemitic to some degree. The U.S. Dept. of State was at that time a bastion of hardcore antisemitism.

The U.S. and U.K. refused to bomb the rail lines leading to extermination camps or the camps themselves. The failure to destroy the camps probably cost a million Jews their lives.

But after the war ended, the world did indeed notice the loss six million Jewish lives. The support the U.N. gave to a homeland for the world's Jews was a sign the deeply ingrained antisemitism of the 1930s and 1940s had reversed to some extent.

When the UKs RAF went on bombing raids over Germany in WW2 , about 25 % on the airplanes never came back , they got shot down .

UK's main concern was winning the war and targeting German military targets , also , it would have been war crime to bomb prison /concentration camps , also , bombed camps could have been easily and quickly rebuilt

The Oslo accords failed because of the dishonesty of Israel as it continued to build and expand illegal Jewish settlements in the West Bank during the negotiating period, reducing the land available for a viable, contiguous Palestinian state.
