Visa Non Imigrat N.0

Featured Replies

Dear forum ,my wife Belgian and I Dutch obtained a N.0 . multy entry for one year from the Thai Consulate in Antwerp - Belgium. We arrived in Thailand ( Chiang Mai ) on the 24 august 2008.

My Dutch friend whom is living in Thailand as we,in a small vilage near Uttaradit , tells us that we have to report every 3 months at immigration ( in our case in Chiang Mai ) is this correct ???? I was in the assumption that our visa was valid for one year and that we do not have to report at immigration every 3 months ?!

Please advice !

No you do not.

You do have to leave the country and come back again every 90 days.

Each entry gives a maximum of 90 days.

If you make your final exit/entry the day before your Visa expires you will get another 90 days. Making a total of 15 months stay.

EDIT.

I just looked back at your posts and you do seem a bit confused.

If you have a O-A Visa for retirement then you do have to report to Immigration every 90 days and not leave the country.

If you have a Non O Multi Entry then you have to do as I said before.

As said it depends on what you actually have - if "OA" visa you should have been stamped in until August 23, 2009 and yes you would need to make 90 day address reports it remaining in Thailand more than 90 days at a time. This is just an address report on a TM.47 form and can be done by mail to Immigration Hqs in Bangkok; and perhaps Chiang Mai.

You must go for a new stamp every 3 months.

One year extension of stay must be applied for in Thailand.

With extesion of stay you must report to immigrations every 90 days.

You do not obtain stamps from Immigration in any case. Believe poster has an OA visa and will have to make address reports.

Yes . You have to report your address every 90 days.

Suggest you go in person first time as some offices do not allow you to do it by post.

Also you will learn what is required plus they get to see your smiling face.

In the future you can always report by post to Bangkok.
