Journalist
This inaccurate headline was in my e mail this morning, and no doubt those of many thousands of people. This was a striking and major comment. A number of people wrote into this Forum to point out it was incorrect. The Moderators here summarily expunged all of those correct observations without further ado. Ok no problem with that. ... the incorrect e mail still unapologetically pollutes my in-box, uncorrected. May we have a commitment from Thaivisa that inaccurate, unresearched sensationalism and idle speculation will not be a part of their mailshots. You might say 'well, humph, if you don't like it, discontinue the mail service' , but I do happen to like it normally. Wouldn't it simply be easier to improve the standards of reportage? (I.e - reporting fixed events and occurences that have happened - rather than editorialising/conjecture of what might happen) Please accept these comments in the constructive sense in which they are intended. opalhort
I would like to second the above post. The headline could have read something like: Samak rumored to resign Thursday The posts make it clear that it is only a rumor, but the heading is typical sensationalist tabloid style. opalhort

Buckwheat
Thanks for the advice. With the amount of stories hitting the wires, we sometimes send alerts in haste. We'll do our best to be more precise in the future.
