Ok, i've googled the hel_l out of these webpages so far and didn't really get a straight answer from the bkk embassy, and still need a little help from anyone that has some good knowledge of the I-134 and I-864 paperwork that pertains to my little wall I'm running into.

The fiance and I will get married next year, tbd where to do the paperwork etc, but the issue is I want to bring her to the states, but not perminently, because we have a store that we just opened here in Thailand, so we'd end up coming back here. Already tried the tourist visa route, got shot down, so looking to the K-1/K-3. But I haven't had a "real" job since middle of 2007, so for the affidavid of support, seem's like I'd be out of luck. But the I-864 says if I don't have the income, "Income from the intending immigrant, if that income willcontinue from the same source after immigration, and if theintending immigrant is currently living in your residence. Ifthe intending immigrant is your spouse, his or her incomecan be counted regardless of current residence, but it mustcontinue from the same source after he or she becomes alawful permanent resident.". So can we submit this I-864 for a K-1 or K-3? I didn't see the bkk embassy website talk about the I-864 at all and they didn't mention it in their email. We also don't have any tax paperwork yet for the store, only receipts, but by the time we had our interview we would probly have that paperwork if we could go that route. Oh yeah, also, don't want to go the co-sponsor route, for personal reasons.

Maybe I'm a bit off on all this, any thoughts or experiences with financial issues with these visas?

thanks a ton

I would say you are going to have a difficult time meeting the financial support requirement unless you have a large savings, but I am not an embassy or immigration person. That's just my personal opinion based upon my experience with K-1 visa process.

Good luck and I hope you get the visa worked out!
