Change Thai School And Keep 1 Year Ed Visa

Featured Replies

According to the Thai Ministry of Education, you absolutely have the right to change school and study in another Thai school without taking any test.

However, your new school may ask you to take an “internal” test in order to evaluate your thai language level. So it’ll be able to reckon the suitable class level for you.

The only things you need are:

- Around 30 days left on your visa: it is the time you need to renew your “Non Immigrant ED” (student) visa.

- A certificate from your current school: which proves that you’ve already studied thai language.

So, if you are not satisfied with your current school, you can change it easily but most of the schools don't give you that information because they want to keep you.

Best regards

Hi everyone,

I forget to add that to change school you need to have your former school certificate but in Thai only. Thai ministry of education doesn't accept certificate written in english language. If you have any question concerning the subject please let me know.
