Inspired by the "Beards And Thai Women" thread, I was wondering what Thai and other Asian women think about shaved or totally bald heads.

I know they generally don't like too much hair on man's bodies and Asian men do tend to have a head of thick dark hair. Being a Buddhist society, would most normal Asian women (non-pros) have a problem being involved with a man that may look like a monk?

Your results may vary, but I think folks are kidding themselves if they think that bald is more attractive. I think if you ask 100 bald guys if there was a magic button to restore their hair to the thickness of their youth, how many would *honestly* say no... I prefer the chemo/I'm dying look.

if they are much younger than you its only human nature to expect them to be interested in younger men who arent balding

Some men look much better bald than with hair.

I used to shave my head. After 7 years of that though I gave up on it.

The girls all wanted to touch, feel and caress my shiny noggin. You don't see too many bald people in Thailand (except for monks) and they can't (obviously) be going around feeling monk's heads. Bit of a novelty for them I supose.

Now that I don't even have to get a haircut if I don't want to, I keep it down to the stubble stage. Doesn't get anywhere near the attention the shaved coconut did, but it's easier to maintain in places like AssCrackistan !

I agree with you. I am just choosing the lesser of 2 evils with my limited thinning hair. Btw, I let grow my hair grow at the beginning of this year for 4 months. It looked awful (IMO) so I went back to the Yul/Telly look.

I am very good shape for my age or someone 10-15 years younger and women think I am 40......., well at least 50 to 53 yo.

Yeah, I'd probably choose the Khun Yoon-Telly Sav look at well if I had to. Anything less inevitably looks like a bird's nest. Not that I have anything against bald folks, but sometimes some folks (not you obviously) are living in an alternate reality trying to see something that isn't there. Just trying to keep it real.

IMO local gals are no less superficial in terms of their aesthetic ideals, that's not to say that there aren't plenty who will settle for less and love you just as much. Just like in the west where many women will say 'bald men try harder'... local girls are just as accepting after they get over their own personal ideal/imagined partner for life as well.

Used to have long hair to below my shoulders. Got fed up with the maintenance required at about 18 years old and went for a number 3 which over the course of the years has now become a number 0 every two weeks.

15 years later I wouldn't ever want to go back to having hair. Various girlfriends have asked me to grow it but I've always refused, in Thailand anyway it's too damned hot having hair.

And yes, if I wanted to I could have a full head of hair. No bald patches on me.

Personally I can't understand anybody (male) who would want hair on their head. It's pure vanity and a waste of time, not to mention the waste of money on hair products.

I shower in the morning and to then "do" my hair takes approx 2 seconds - dry head with towel.

no natural protection against the sun

Some men look much better bald than with hair.

Only marginally - and they were far from atttractive in the first place.

My guess, and hope, is that the sentient ladies would prefer to consort with somebody with a mind of their own rather than a slavish follower of a weird fashion.

As hes been mentioned a couple of times i have to tell his joke, a colored chap was sat in the barbors waiting his turn,the white guy in front of him says " can i have kojak cut please " , certainly sir replies the barbor, 5 minutes later hes finished and the barbor says ,thatll be $5 please, and off goes the customer,, colored chap next says, " i think ill have one of dem kojak cuts too please boss " certainly sir says the barbor,. 5 minutes later the barbor finishes and says ." thatll be $10 please sir, the colored chap quite rightly asks " why 10 for me and 5 for the last guy, " ah yes replies the barbor, color tellies are dearer ! ,. ! ( might have to be english to get this )
