Open Thai Bank Account

Featured Replies

hi guys can any one help. i want to open a thai bank account. i tried last year but was refused as i had no documents from england. what do i need.

Your passport and a nice smile should get you an account

Go to Siam Square Soi 1 and go to SCB there.

Explain that you're about to begin work as an English teacher at Go International (Which is located round the corner). SCB have an 'understanding' with them and you should have no problems getting your account open without work permits etc. If they ask questions simply tell them you will be starting work in a few weeks but wanted to get your account opened in advance.

At worst, they'll politely refuse our application and tell you to get more documents but I don't yet knbow of anybody who's been rejected.

Best wishes,

Martin
