can anyone tell me if, where and how my school can get me my WP using my non-im type O visa?

they tell me that they have been told its not possible, but i hear more and more people saying it is.

i want to get it sorted asap without having the hassle of getting a B type and the trip out of the country that will involve.

its driving me mad, i seem to be going round in ever decreasing circles.

As far as I know you can get a work permit on a Non O Visa.

You certainly can get a WP on a Non-O Visa. The law stipulates a Non Immigrant Visa, of which a Non-B and a Non-O are one. Your Legal people should process the Work Permit in the same manner as they would a Non-B.

How do I know this - I have had a WP on my Non-O for the last 4 years.

I suspect that I mistakenly overwrote it with the "electronic tickets" post which really belonged in another topic and which I have now deleted in this topic. That's the second blunder to which my attention has been drawn today. Perhaps I was still under the influence of the anaesthetic that was administered to me earlier yesterday for a minor medical procedure.
