Another newbie question....purchase a condo..... how can that apply to my retirement visa. Buy a condo one does not have to show 800k in the bank? If it cost much more the 800k does it carry over to the next year? I've read something on this matter. Thanks for your help.

Buying a Condo will not get you a Retirement Extension.

You need 800,000 in the bank OR 65,000 monthly income.

The condo purchase was only relevant to the investment visa which does not exist anymore.

For retirement only the two options as lite beer above posted are available, although a combination of both is possible, i.e. 40,000 Baht/month income (=480,000 Baht/year) and an additional 320,000 Baht in the bank.

Your biggest mistake is that you tried to solve a problem here using logic and you must learn to stop doing that.
