yeti
Hi, My visa expire next Tuesday, and I was thinking about Bali to get a new tourist visa. I know that there is a Thai consulate there, anyone who tried it already ? And how long does it take ? Any hassle or same questions as anywhere ? Was thinking that after 6 months it may have improved...

dr_Pat_Pong
The Hon. Consul is a Thai guy, Dr Peraphon, and the Consulate is at Jln Pupatan Raya No 81, Renon Depasar Bali. Tel (0361) 263310 email [email protected] A tourist visa shouldn't be a problem.
Georgie-Porgie
Did someone say "Honorary" Consulate? I'd love to do a visa run to Bali. What are the chances for a real visa Doc ( multiple entry one year non-Immigrant )?

lambous
I too am interested in getting a tourist visa from Bali, does anyone have any updates on whether this is possible without any hassles?
Queers for Fears
Bali is a great spot but for some reason, I think double entries are unlikely. If not, I am there
LivinLOS
My brother got a single entry only there.. They were also a stickler for USD notes only (not Indo or Thai) which he said was a pain to get.. Money changers only wanted to take notes (giving indo) and not sell him any.. I thought that sounded odd..
lambous
Single entry is fine and so is paying with USD. I just wanted to know how long it takes to get the visa and whether I need to show anything like an onward ticket?
LivinLOS
Hes just on the Gilli islands and so out of contact for a few days... I will ask in a couple when he next gets back in contact..
Sunny Valentine
I applied for Single O two years ago- Friendly, no problems with Documentation, easy. But took 4 or 5 working days after applying to get it. Sunny

girlx
wanted to update- just got back from bali. you can get a double entry tourist visa for thailand at the consulate in denpasar, but you have to show a ticket leaving thailand.
tropo
wanted to update- just got back from bali. you can get a double entry tourist visa for thailand at the consulate in denpasar, but you have to show a ticket leaving thailand. Girlx, which airline did you fly with? If getting there is not too expensive, it might a good alternative to Penang for tourist visas if double entries are possible to obtain. I checked out connecting flights to Bali through KL using AirAsia, but the prices were quite high. Edited May 6, 2007 by tropo
girlx
i took the direct flight with thai airways, which is pretty expensive, but this was a leisure trip for me as well as a visa run. you can go cheaper via other airlines but they usually require a night's stay in singapore or kuala lumpur.
