I cannot get audio when watching a video from the net [Youtube or TED.com].

Video files on my machine play fine so the HW is working and the SW driver

must be okay too.

Any ideas what the problem might be ?

I have done the troubleshooting sequence and of course done cold restarts.

I have Realtek HD Audio Manager installed and it says everything is ok.

Thanks

More information ............

1/ When watching a vid from the net there is no sound, but

when I retrieve the file from the buffer and play it off

line the sound is there. So it got thru ok.

2/ Reloaded the driver and tried the Windows driver and

neither helped the problem.

3/ Sound is fine from the net when using Firefox

4/ Seems to be an IE problem with possibly interaction

with Java or Flash the issue.

5/ Maybe I need to reinstall IE ?
