Driver Killed As He Is Thrown From His Vehicle In Highway 36 Road Accident.

Featured Replies

Just after 4am on Thursday, Police Lieutenant Choosak from Banglamung Police Station was called to the notorious Highway 36 which leads to Rayong Province to investigate a fatal road crash.

At the scene of the crash, near the border with Rayong Province, was a Red Toyota Mighty X pick-up in the central reservation.

Next to the vehicle was the body of the driver who was thrown from the vehicle, Khun Paitoon aged 42 who was driving towards Rayong Province.

Witnesses explained to Police that the man was driving at speed and appeared to veer off the main carriageway for no apparent reason.

The pick-up flipped over as it entered the central reservation and the man was seen to be ejected from the vehicle.

The man was thought to have been killed when the truck flipped over his body, seconds after he was thrown from the vehicle.

Police are waiting for the results of a post mortem examination but suspect he either fell asleep at the wheel or suffered an acute medical problem which rendered him unable to control his vehicle.

"If you don't wear a seat-belt you will be 'thrown clear' of the accident!" - how many times have I heard that?
