SoMeOnEnUlL Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Hi, Is there any kind of Wifi Router that connect to the Wifi-sport (Turewifi, for instance) and cable out for PCs to share the internet connection?
NHJ Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 normally all routeur that are WDS mode compatible will do it. if you choose the wrt54gl and install dd-wrt firmware, it can do it 100% sure, this is the model i suggest to my customers for their wifi needs.
SoMeOnEnUlL Posted October 10, 2008 Author Posted October 10, 2008 Thanks so much for the reply, mate. I will give it a try.
stumonster Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 WDS - wireless distribution service - can work , but if you can't configure the routers at each point you may have issues , also WPA2 does not seem to work with WDS. wireless ethernet bridge or wireless client mode is probably your best option - depending if you want your LAN ports on a different/same subnet to the wireless WAN. I use Tomato firmware on linksys WRT54GLs to achive this
SoMeOnEnUlL Posted October 13, 2008 Author Posted October 13, 2008 Thanks for the detail explanation.
