frodo Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 I bought a Belkin G+ MIMO a little over a year ago, and it worked fine until a few weeks ago. When I turn on the router, the LED for the ADSL line continues to blink green, but will not connect. I gather the modem is attempting to dial but is unable to get a response. Strangely enough, if I disconnect the ADSL line from the Belkin, and plug it into the standard ADSL modem provided by TOT, and connect the modem to either my notebook or desktop, a connection will be established. Then, by unplugging the line and connecting back into the Belkin, I can get a connection with the wireless router. It shouldn't be doing this, and it is getting to be a pain disconnecting and reconnecting phone lines just to get a connection. Anyone have a possible solution to this? Not sure of this will help, but I've given a few screen shots which show the configuration I have setup. Thanks in advance Frodo
tigerbeer Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 i could not get a connection through my belkin modem with CAT's new Hinet service. Works fine with the Zyxel modem they provided though. Can't really help but to say that I really don't know what the secret is to getting the Belkin ADSL modem/router to work. I did try once to upgrade its firmware and it worked for a while. A week later, same problem. Now I am using the Zyxel modem provided to me by CAT together with an old Belkin Wi-Fi router I had. Am happy with the current set up. I hope you find a solution here though. Will keep an eye on this thread.
