bluesofa
Trying to help someone out who has a friend coming here to stay in his two houses for a few weeks. Bearing in mind you need to inform immigration with 24 hours regarding foreigners staying in your house using form TM30. I can get the form on the net and print it for my friend. Rather than go to the office and with the form I understand you can send it via post (EMS/recorded delivery?) Is this a practical approach and does anyone have the addresses for these two offices please. I understand Maptaput covers Rayong city? If it doesn't, then does someone know which office does? Cheers,
ubonjoe
Here is a link to Maptaput immigration. Mostly in Thai but with a little help you might find the mailing address. http://mabtaput.immigration.go.th/ Link to immigration website checkpoint listing. Gives an address but I don't think its enough to mail to. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/ba...hp?page=central Sri Racha is also on this list but no website. Clicking on any of the check point names is a shortcut to their website if they have one. Sri Racha's has been hijacked. Looks like you can apply online too - Mabtaput anyway, pity about the Sri Racha website being hijacked. Ewan
astral
Given the news about "using your closest office" even Pattaya would be closer to Rayong, than Sri Racha. However Maptaput does seem the obvious choice. Under the Immigration Act http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/do...gration_Act.pdf Section 38 you can make the report to your local police station. So can your visitors Section 37(3), unless they already gave your address on arrival at the airport.

I thought the form was called a TM30? That's a good point about giving the address on the arrival card. Do you know if the visitors give the address on the TM card, is this sufficient for the first address they go to stay. and the householder does not need to inform immigration again on the TM30? Maestro
The hotel or householder still has to make the report. -- Maestro
