Yes it is sad when you make a comparison to any other democratic countries. The PAD mob are given such freedom with out any punishment being handed out to the leaders or to the mob apart from some minor violations. They are holding the country for ransom in some way and only damaging Thailands image. PAD mobsters say they are doing good, but in fact they are clearly seen in the world media as a backword group and also if you ask the majority of Thais from the North or North east they will tell you the same.

Lets think what they WOULD NOT DO.

Go in with exploding lethal armament for one.

Go in with untested tactics or under trained officers

USUALLY not give extra beatings for not standing up.

Hit a cop and you get hit back usually, don't hit them,

go limp you get carried away.

Disperse them with gas or water cannons, or sheild marches

and them arrest them in small groups. Take them to jail and process them.

Then the get out a few hours later.

Leaving a judge to decide and cooler heads over all.

They will not train revolver handguns on them until the video camera is pointed out.

They do NOT see exploding armamnet taking off limbs and GO BACK FOR MORE.

If they know in advance,

they would have organized defensive instaltions themselves,

with multiple prearranged points of entrance egress and back ups.

Most western countries GIVE a SPECIFIC place for protesters to go and protest.

Often times TWO places for opposing groups, like pro and anti abortion.

But at the same time provide access to the big wigs to meet.

You are just so wrong in your comparative assumptions about crowd control in this age.

'Mobsters' implies gangsters and machine gun shootings from moving cars.

Mobsters are yaba smugglers, and taxi gangs ripping of people, extortionists.

The PAD is not that. Try as you might to portray them as such.

They are not angels and not perfect either.

But the tactics and weapons used on PAD suit your biased rhetoric

better than ANY international police force doing crowd control.

The Government had a choice;

They could have cleared out PAD from parliment, and had the world go Bravo, nicely done.

Or they could have been brutal and vindictive, which they did. And NOW the world looks on in disgust...

The choice was the government's to make.

Ransom you say.. so how much are they asking for?
