Is a photocopy of the tourist visa required?

Any other photocopies?

Can you fill out TM7 form at the immigration bureau? (I have downloaded the Word version but it comes up messy on Open Office.)

Copy of passport photo page, visa and entry stamp pages, TM6 arrival/departure card both sides.

You can fill out TM7 at immigration.

Thanks. What do you mean "entry stamp pages"? ALL of them? Or only the most recent?

And is that photocopy of the arriva/depart card you mean? Mine only has one side.

Oh, and, excuse one more pedantic question, do they have glue to afix the photograph at Immigration (pattaya)?

:o

Thanks.

All went smoothly.

I'm not sure the entry stamp and TM6 were needed, but Immigration took all my photocopies and stapled them anyway.

Only quibble with the whole process was bloody overstaying! Argh. I was three days over. That wasn't a problem itself, but sitting at Overstay desk took five times longer than getting the extension itself.

Good

I always suggest to take a copy of every thing as a just in case measure. Better to have them than not and then have to run and make copies. With immigration you never know.

You didn't mention the overstay before.

Aplied for a "M" visa in Singapore - denied.

Appears you now need

1. Proof of 800,000 THB any account - even in Singapore

2. Marriage cert

3. Letter from wife stating still married and she wants you in Thailand

4. Copy of wife's ID card

So they only gave a two month tourist visa.

Nothing on their web site stating the new requirements

That seems strange and there might have been a misunderstanding.

You seem to appear talking about 2 different reasons for a non-O visa, marriage and retirement.

Singapore isn't very friendly. Savanakhet will issue a multiple non-O without proof of money for marriage, Kuala Lumphur will issue a multiple non-O with proof of 100,000 in a bank account, other consulates in the region only issue single non-O's.

M visa is for Media people so believe you mean multi entry and financials are a normal requirement for these in the area - range is from zero up. KL is standard with 100k. But Singapore should have issued a single entry non immigrant O visa providing a 90 day stay if you requested it. But having ID card and home register copies of wife is standard requirement at any Consulate in the area (along with marriage certificate).
