Internet In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi experts,

Hoping you can help me. I'm in BKK for the next 2-3 months and need an internet service.

I've been reading through the forums and it seems like the best and most cost-effective solution (apart for adsl) is to purchase a phone and data package. (Dial-up is toooo slow!)

My questions are:

1. Which phone should I buy? (I only need a basic model that will connect me to the internet and hopefully work when I return to Australia in January.)

2. Which data package should I go with- I need minimum 250-300 hours a month but only for business emails and browsing.

3. Where can I buy the above in BKK? My Thai is terrible, (although improving!) so need somewhere they speak English.

Any alternate suggestions would also be welcome. (I'm technology illiterate so please keep that in mind!)

Kind Regards,

Richard
