I was considering using Thai Airways to clear my stuff.

Any other suggestions for customs clearance? (if that's the correct term)

Try a company called Jetta express you will get a better price than from the airlines directly. Just google the name.

If you used them, who cleared your goods at bkk?

I used them a few years ago to send a computer to my wife but customs in Chiang Mai charged about 5000 baht duty. I would have been better off sending the money to buy a pc in Thailand. However this was not Jettas fault there service was good
