Well, about being "flooded out", nobody can tell, to play it safe, wait till January, February or even March, but still no assurance that a certain party won't be hit by rain....

Never heard or seen a bungalow that accommodates eight, there are Family Bungalow, accommodating up to 4-5.

Then the Half moon party-Event staged on Samui is happening at the "Escape" area, north of the Chaweng Reservoir/Lake

That's usually one of the worst roads for flooding when it rains. With the road improvements, how has it been recently? The parties there must be on the slow side when the road leading to it is half under water.

Do you mean you intend coming to Samui primarily for the Escape party? It's worth going to if you're staying in Cheweng, maybe even if you're staying in Lamai and fancy a late night drink and a boogie, but that's about it. Have never actually been this time of year, and I live in Cheweng, but I suspect it could be rather muddy as you will need to follow the water down an incline. If you do go, remember not to leave any valuables under the seat of a motorbike parked outside

hi, do you mean the half moon in samui or ban tai koh phangan, where the big one is in the jungle? this is a good party, depending on the rain that night it should still be on BUT will probably be nobody there as the season is very low and my friends that are there right now say there is no one left! if you mean this one and it is on then there will be yellow signs everywhere stating so...im thinking it may be a washout and you will have to pay approx 300 bht to get in. as for bungalows stay in bantai, will be cheap now not big enough for 8 but 2 will cost next to nothing.

if you mean the one in samui then im sure it will be on but still prob not that busy

hope this helps. have funx

wow you guys are great help and v.quick to reply!! :o

i will be in samui from monday next week till saturday and my friends want to go to the halfmoon party in ban tai.

is the escape party the same as the half moon party or are they two totally separate parties?

We just wanna come drink, dance and have fun. Would you recommend somewhere in chaweng instead of going to koh phangan for this as it doesnt seem worth it?

Escape is at Lakeview, Chaweng, Koh Samui.

Half moon is in Koh Phangan.

Same type of music, same type of people.

It is the best located and best music party on Ko Phangan according my taste. Great DJ's good dancing sound, always crowded after midnight.

Have a look here (more links on that page)

You forgot the Black Moon Party held at the same place as the Escape Party.

The World will take 3 weeks off for celebration starting at 5pm New York time. By that early time it should be obvious that The One has won every state by a margin that would make his middle name's namesake blush.
