It was the inspiration for a car that appeared in a lot of short movies and I think it was usually a red one. billd766 Posted November 6, 2008 Share Posted November 6, 2008 Here's one to keep it going until Mr.Hippo gets back. Sorry but I missed this one. It is a 1955 Sunbeam Talbot 90 series 3 that usually had a column change 4 speed gearbox with a Laycok overdrive on second, third and 4th gears. I had one in 1967 and blew the gearbox out. I scrapped the car as I couldn't afford the £30 for another gearbox I scrapped the car. I loved it when it was running. I remember one time that a brake pipe rusted through and I found that out when I tried to stop in a hurry. I have looked at :- : Duesenbergs : Cords : Auburns : Mercurys : Talbot Lagos and I'm still not sure, the closest I have seen is a :- : 1948 Cadillac Series 62, 3 position convertible coupe by Saou If it's not this, (and I have a feeling it's not) then I'm stumped !!!
