Some Storm We Are Having.

Featured Replies

And 2 lightning bolts have literally just hit the tower that I am in on Asoke, I can't remember the last time I was in a lightning storm this intense.

The streets are also looking quite flooded, what is the worst storm that Bangkok has seen in recent years?

Not a meteoroligist (sp) but for two years running November has been rainier than I remember considering we are entering the so called dry cool season.

I'm just around the corner from Asok and my internet access keeps going down then coming back up. No power cut yet though.

I just looked out the window and the whole top end of Soi Cowboy / Soi 23 looks like a river !

Yeah, crazy last half-hour. It's calmed down quite suddenly. Asoke is completely flooded...

Nothing new really - we had a similar storm 6-7mths ago - the lightning was awesome - it even made the front page of the Bangkok Post :o

it was kind of nice actually, i am glad this stormy season is lasting longer than usual. except for the annoying thai ladies and their huge umbrellas who are oblivious to the passersby they are poking in the eyes.

and it is raining in here now in Chatuchak area. :o

lucky me - i dnt have any umbrella, G.

no it's not, it's true.

You guys must be getting our rainy season still. Its been absolutely gorgeous today. Fabulous sunset too :o

We had a great sunset here too. There wasn't a cloud in the sky after all the earlier drama. Christ, I've just realized I can't shake my English habit of compulsively discussing the weather...
