I know this has been covered before.

Any body changed from the Indy package to the Premier package Maxnet.

Members reported that it was an improvement. Any body been on it for a while? Is it still performing well?

I am on Indy and it is driving me up the wall.

Does what it says on the tin.. First net connection I have had in Thailand which lives up to its speeds.. I get a solid 2Mbit all day international (1800 - 2000 if being really picky).. On my 1090 baht line..

The adsl modem they give you overheats tho.. And I have noticed a rise in ping times lately.. But no other line I have had comes close.

Same for me!

CAT is better but very limited availability and more expensive. TT&T Premier gives an excellent price/quality ratio.

Actually here locally CAT has taken a bit of a nosedive and is currently slower on average than TT&T !!

It WAS better I agree..

CAT still pretty normal here at the moment...

Maybe one of your local engineers got "promoted" and feels he has to improve the system a bit :o:D

We went to the TTT office yesterday and they gave us a trial of the 2mb Premier until the end of the month.

Early days yet but it does seem a lot more stable. The Indy was all over the place.

Still only getting around 1500/1700 kbs down and 300/400 up. I am sure that the up speed should be a lot more.

The Wife spoke to an engineer on the phone and he said that we live too far from Khon Kaen town , and the signal is not so strong.

My knowledge on this is almost zero.

Anyway the engineer is coming today to have a look.

Normally the best you can expect on any ADSL line is about 85 to 90% of rated speed.

Nothing to do with shortage of bandwidth, but simply overhead in the ADSL connection.

The line is actually performing at 100%, but 10% of the data going through is useless to you. Things like error correction, TCP/IP headers etc...

So in short if you are getting 1700 kbps down and 430 kbps up your line is in top notch shape.

Thanks Monty.

This is the TT&T list of packages. Where it says "2048/1024" does the 1024 mean the up speed?

If so my 300-400 seems a bit low. Edit. Just seen your other post and you are getting the same upload.
